It seems like the theme of "individuality" is now in the marketing section of every major clothing manufacturer's rule book and trend forecasting report. The idea of "fitting in" now lends itself to the message of "which pseudo-counterculture social group do I identify with?"  So what happens in the fast fashion post-apocalyptic pile up of trends and worn out novelty patterns?

I have always loved mixing old and new, high and low, but what does that mean for true individuality as these concepts become mainstream? I have decided to visually explore this concept one step further by styling one  "normcore" outfit with three different one-of-a-kind pieces.  In this new fashion world now consumed with the idea of mass marketing individuality, is the only true counterculture response "scarcity?"
